Treatments with the use of radiofrequency are based on causing a thermal effect in the tissue. The devices used to perform this type of procedure are equipped with electrodes between which current flows and special cooling systems, or gels applied to the skin, which protect it against burns. Research has shown that repeated use of a head emitting radio waves with lower energy in a given area of the skin gives better therapeutic effects than a single application of a wave with higher energy.
